What is the biggest challenge currently facing your industry and how are you responding to it? Addressing the persistent learning gaps that widened during the COVID-19 pandemic while simultaneously ensuring students graduate life-ready. In my role, I’ve intensified the focus and investment on high-impact practices and supports that accelerate learning and close those gaps. I implemented schoolwide instructional practices anchored in checks for understanding and critical thinking, ensuring every classroom is a place of active learning and engagement.

What was your first job? My first job was with the New Bedford Housing Authority, where I maintained properties and restored apartments throughout the city.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self? Everything you do, big or small, is a reflection of your character and who you are. Stay grounded, stay hungry for growth and lead with integrity.
What is your greatest attribute that you bring to your job? My greatest strength is the ability to galvanize students and educators around a common purpose. I truly believe in the power of education to change lives.
