Appraisal company lands new client

NORTH PROVIDENCE – Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services, a national appraisal management and settlement services company, has added Georgia-based Generation Mortgage to its stable of clients.
Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services Executive Vice President of Operations Debra Vitaley said the contract allowed the company to hire two new staffers at the end of December. Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services will subcontract for the actual appraisals but review them at the company’s North Providence offices, Vitaley said.
Generation Mortgage Company provides reverse mortgages nationwide and received the Better Business Bureau’s highest accreditation standard, the “A+ Rating.”
“We try to partner with people that will be successful so it will be a successful partnership,” Vitaley said.
Vitaley said the contact with Generation Mortgage is an on-call contract. She added that Generation Mortgage is one of a number of new clients since new ethics guidelines for appraisals redefined who may conduct appraisals. To keep pace, Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services hired 15 people in 2009, including the two associated with the Generation Mortgage deal, Vitaley said. Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services also counts Citizens Bank among its clients.
