PROVIDENCE – Epiq Systems Inc. has occupied a 6,000-square-foot space at 1 Cedar St., according to MG Commercial Real Estate.
Epiq is establishing a data-products group in the city, aimed at the legal services industry. The Atlanta-based company takes on large-scale duties for law firms, corporate counsel and business professionals, according to a news release.

In April, the R.I. Commerce Corp. authorized the use of state tax incentives to attract the company. The board approved $1.2 million over a 10-year period, assuming the company creates at least 25 positions and maintains them for 12 years. The median salary for the new positions is expected to be $110,000.
