New pistol magazine technologies will enhance company’s defense capabilities
WARWICK, RI – ATW Companies, a leading provider of engineered metal manufacturing solutions, will be showcasing its “ATW Defense” brand as a leader in defense and firearms capabilities at Shot Show 2012, as it announces the acquisition of Metalform Company, a New Britain, CT-based gun magazine manufacturer. ShotShow 2012 will be held January 17-20, 2012, at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, in Las Vegas, NV. ATW’s subsidiary Parmatech, an industry leader of Metal Injection Molding for the firearms industry, will host the showcase at Booth 2025.
Show participants are invited to join ATW at a wine tasting hosted by Parmatech, to be held on Wednesday, January 18th from 3:30 to 5:30 pm at the booth. The networking event will be an opportunity to sample wines from Sonoma County, where Parmatech is located, and learn more about how the acquisition of Metalform’s innovative deep-drawing, stamping, and pistol magazine fabrication capabilities support ATW’s vertical integration into the rapidly growing firearms and defense industries.
“Metalform will be joining a strong existing firearms and defense team with expertise in a variety of technologies, including Metal Injection Molding (MIM), precision CNC machining, laser cutting, precision metal tubing, and stamping,” said Tracy MacNeal, ATW’s director of business development.
She adds, “Along with a great lineup of firearms engineering and manufacturing expertise, ATW is well-versed in export control laws, and is registered under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR),” which regulates the international trade of firearms.
All of the ATW Companies, including Parmatech, AT Wall/Metalform, and Judson Smith, will be highlighted at ShotShow 2012. Customers are invited to stop by Parmatech’s Booth 2025 to view ATW’s portfolio in a wide variety of alloys for firearm manufacturing, from its proprietary MIM technology for near-net shapes, to precision CNC machining, to finished gun magazine accessories for the retail market.
