The Warren-based manufacturer has transformed the environmental monitoring industry with its Room Alert MAX platform, introducing wireless capabilities that eliminate the complexity and infrastructure constraints of traditional wired monitoring systems. This innovation addresses challenges in protecting assets from environmental threats while simplifying deployment and expanding accessibility.
Traditional environmental monitoring systems require extensive planning, wiring and technical expertise, often taking days or weeks for installation. Room Alert MAX, AVTECH officials say, transforms this process through wireless architecture that becomes operational within minutes of unboxing.
“Our Room Alert solutions … provide real-time environmental monitoring with immediate alerts, enabling organizations to take prompt action and mitigate potential risks before they become serious problems,” Marketing and Channel Manager Russell Benoit said in the company’s awards application.
Benoit says the Room Alert MAX platform represents a paradigm shift from conventional monitoring approaches. Three components are integrated in the system, Benoit says. The MAX Base Station serves as the central hub with both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity options, covering 10,000 square feet. The MAX Temperature & Humidity Sensor, which monitors heat index and dew point, provides laboratory-grade accuracy within 0.2 degrees Celsius and has more than two years of battery life.
Finally, the innovative MAX Wired Sensor Adapter bridges existing infrastructure with new wireless capabilities, protecting current investments while adding modern functionality.
Since its launch, Room Alert MAX has driven more than 20% sales growth for AVTECH in 2025. The innovation has also expanded the company’s customer base beyond traditional information technology departments to include facilities managers and safety officers, Benoit says.
“We are seeing more and more states implement their own heat safety programs that are driving users to Room Alert MAX as well,” Benoit said. “This has opened up markets that weren’t [previously] accessible.”
