NEWPORT, R.I. (November 20, 2017) – BankNewport President and CEO, Sandra J. Pattie has announced the promotion of Wendy E. Kagan to executive vice president, director of employee and community engagement. Kagan joined BankNewport in 2006 and most recently served as senior vice president, director of employee and community engagement. Kagan is responsible for the management of the human resources, community relations and marketing functions for BankNewport and its mutual holding company, OceanPoint Financial Partners, MHC and affiliates.
Kagan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
With over 25 years expertise in all areas of human resources, leadership development and strategic planning, Wendy is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the Northeast Human Resource Association, and World at Work, a nonprofit human resources association.
Wendy is a resident of Newport, Rhode Island.
