BankRI reports record donations in annual Holiday Christmas Tree gift program

PROVIDENCE – Bank Rhode Island set a record in its Holiday Christmas Tree giving program this year, according to a news release.

The 5,556 gifts collected through community donations is the highest in the 25-year history of the annual donation campaign, the release stated. The six-week donation campaign asked community members to donate gifts to children in need based on wish list items displayed as Christmas tree ornaments within each branch.

The bank’s Lincoln branch had the most gifts collected, with 852 presents, which were donated through nonprofit partner the Town of Lincoln Holiday Basket Program.
