BARRINGTON – A waterfront home on 4 acres has sold for $4.6 million. It is the highest sale for a home in Barrington since 2014, according to a news release from Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty.

The house at 85 Nayatt Road was built in 2005 for professional golfer Brad Faxon.

The home is constructed in a chateau style with 12,000 square feet of interior space. It has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. The grounds include a tennis court, according to town property records.

The house is located near the Rhode Island Country Club and the Barrington Yacht Club.

It was last sold in August 2014 for $4.5 million, according to the real estate records.

Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty represented the buyer.

Link Real Estate represented the seller, who was identified in Barrington property records as the David I Goulden Trust.

The identity of the new owner was not immediately available because the deed has not been filed.
