Beacon Design’s 2017 collectible Christmas ornaments released

PROVIDENCE – Beacon Design, a division of ChemArt Co. in Lincoln, released its 2017 Christmas ornament for the United States Capitol Historical Society, the nonprofit announced Thursday.

This year, the design is of the dome of the United States Capitol building.

“Made in the USA matters”, said Ron Sarasin, president of the USCHS, in a statement. “Beacon Design is our partner in designing and manufacturing one of our two annual ornaments. We are pleased that it is also a veteran-owned company.”

Founded in 1976 by chemist and entrepreneur Richard Beaupre, Beacon Design produces more than 2 million ornaments a year. It has been making the official White House Christmas ornament since 1981.

This year’s White House Christmas ornament honors the administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt.
