PROVIDENCE – BehaveCare Inc. has changed its name to Upward Health National LLC, the organization announced Tuesday, along with saying that it had completed an $8 million Series A fundraising round led by Noro-Moseley Partners.

The Providence-headquartered company describes itself as a risk-bearing, multi-specialty provider, assisting its health plan customers in caring for their highest-risk, highest-need patients – providing services in home with “high-touch” care plans for each patient.

The company also noted that the acquisition of Nalari Health in 2017, a Providence-based online health care delivery company. The move, the company said, poises it for geographical growth.

The company will be doing business as Upward Health.

The company is headed by CEO Glen Moller, who joined the company in December 2018, succeeding Eric Heil, one of the company’s founders. Moller previously worked as CEO of Arro, a provider of Medicare and Medicaid risk adjustment and payment integrity services to health plans nationwide.
