
PROVIDENCE – The World War II Foundation is inviting the public to the only New England showing of its latest film, “D-Day: Over Normandy,” narrated by five-time Super Bowl-winning Bill Belichick, head coach of the New England Patriots.

In the soon-to-be-released film, aerial footage captures some of the locations where landings took place on and after June 6, 1944 – known as D-Day.
Admission to the event on Saturday, May 27 at 1 p.m. is $15. Tickets are free for veterans and military personnel with proper identification. BankNewport sponsored the screening, which will take place at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Providence.
There will be a brief question and answer session with producer Tim Gray and two Rhode Island veterans who participated in the first wave of troops to storm Omaha Beach. Belichick will not be in attendance.
