
PROVIDENCE – Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gammons Realty has merged with the Natick, Mass.,-headquartered Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate, the companies announced Tuesday.
As part of the merger, the 35 employees of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gammons Realty will remain with the new entity. The company also will continue to operate from its current headquarters at 461 Main St. in East Greenwich. It will operate under the name Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Commonwealth Real Estate.

Gammons Realty founder Allen Gammons also will maintain an active role with the company.
“Our affiliation with Commonwealth and the extensive support, resources and training they provide will enable me to spend more time in the field using my talents to help create inventory for our agencies and brokers,” Gammons said. “I look forward to working with the Commonwealth team and continuing to grow our business.”
In 2018, Gammons Realty sold 239 single-family, multifamily and condominium residences, at a value of $71.8 million, in Rhode Island and Bristol County, Mass., according to PBN research published Feb. 8.
