CRANSTON – Blackstone Valley Security has been acquired by Atlanta-based U.S. Security Associates Inc., the company confirmed.
BV Security no longer exists as a separate organization, a U.S. Security spokeswoman told the Providence Business News in a telephone interview. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
U.S. Security already serves the Rhode Island area through an office in Providence. It was unclear whether the company would retain the former BV office in Cranston.
Calls to BV Security were answered by a message saying “You have reached U.S. Security, formerly BV Security,” while the company’s Web site (formerly at www.bvsecurity.com) appeared to have been taken down.
U.S. Security Associate is the country’s fourth largest security firm, and the second largest U.S.-owned security provider, according to the company Web site. It was founded in 1955 as Advance Security Engineering. To learn more, visit /www.ussecurityassociates.com.
