Jackie Boudreau has been named to the board of directors for Woonsocket-based Connecting for Children and Families. Boudreau serves as the director of the regional and systems operation center for Cox Communications New England’s operations. Boudreau brings 16 years of management, budgeting and organizational experience in the telecommunications industry to Connecting for Children and Families.

PBN: What is the focus of the programming at Connecting for Children and Families?
BOUDREAU: The mission of Connecting for Children and Families (CCF) is to improve the quality of family and community life in Woonsocket. Through community partnerships and advocacy, CCF provides a wide range of family-support programs, including emergency basic needs, quality childcare, after-school and summer enrichment, parenting support and education, and community-safety initiatives. CCF’s programs are designed to prevent child abuse and neglect, to promote academic success, to encourage child and parent well-being, and to ensure neighborhood safety.

PBN: In this new leadership role as a member of the organization’s board, what professional and industry-specific experience will you contribute to Connecting for Children and Families?
BOUDREAU: As director of regional and system operations for Cox Communications, I bring fiscal organizational management, leadership and project management experience. I will help Connecting for Children and Families work toward improving the quality of family and community life in Woonsocket. By joining the Fund Development Committee – one of the board’s standing committees – I will work toward raising much-needed funds for the organization.

PBN: How long have you worked at Cox Communications and what are your responsibilities as Cox New England’s director of operations?
BOUDREAU: I have been an employee of Cox Communications for the past 12 years and director of operations for the last seven. In this role, I oversee all facets of network surveillance, trouble management and telephony back-office operations. This responsibility includes Cox’s systems in New England, Ohio and Northern Virginia. &#8226
