WALTHAM, Mass. – Sales of single-family homes and condominiums in Bristol County, Mass., rose in August compared with the same month last year, according to figures released by the Massachusetts Association of Realtors this week.
For August, single-family sales were up 14.8 percent and condominiums increased 27.3 percent.
While the volume of homes sold was up in August, the average sales price of single-family homes and condominiums was down for the month, the figures showed.
Year-to-date sales for single-family homes in Bristol County were down 7.7 percent from 2010 as condominiums slipped 0.9 percent.
