SMITHFIELD, R.I. (Aug. 3, 2011) – Bryant University is one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to “The Best 376 Colleges,” the 2012 college guide released by The Princeton Review on Aug. 2.
The rankings are based on The Princeton Review’s survey of 122,000 students (an average of 325 per campus) attending the 376 colleges in the book. The 80-question survey asked students to rate their schools on several topics and report on their campus experiences.
In the two-page profile of Bryant, students say the University is “all about real-world application” and is “a technologically-advanced school that prepares you in every way for a competitive job market and/or competitive graduate schools.” Students credited the University’s 96-percent job placement rate to the “phenomenal” Amica Center for Career Education and the ease of networking with faculty and alumni.
“By providing a globally-focused experiential education that blends the study of business, the study of the arts and sciences, and co-curricular activities in innovative ways, Bryant offers its students unmatched preparation to succeed,” said José-Marie Griffiths, vice president for academic affairs.
Only about 15 percent of America’s 2,500 four-year colleges and three colleges outside the United States are profiled in the book, which includes detailed profiles of each college along with ratings for each school in eight categories.
