SMITHFIELD – Corey E. Levine, a 1980 Bryant University graduate and executive director of the Ettenberg Foundation, has donated $1 million to his alma mater to develop a new dining area inside Bryant’s new Business Entrepreneurship Leadership Center.
Bryant announced Thursday that the seven-figure gift will be used to develop the Corey E. Levine Dining Commons, an elevated dining experience and gathering place inside the 250,000-square-foot leadership center. Fidelity Investments Inc.
donated the building to Bryant last year that houses the leadership center and the university’s College of Business.
Bryant says Levine has remained connected with the university since he graduated more than four decades ago, supporting Bryant’s mission to provide scholarships for students, the university’s accounting program and Bryant University Hillel, which supports Jewish students on campus.
"I am honored to give back to the institution that gave me so much,” Levine said in a statement. “The Business Entrepreneurship Leadership Center is an exciting new chapter for Bryant, and I am proud to be part of it. I hope this gift will inspire future generations of students to pursue their goals with the same passion and determination that Bryant instilled in me.”
David Wegrzyn, Bryant’s vice president of advancement, said in a statement Thursday that the new dining commons will be a place where “where students, faculty, and staff can connect and build relationships” and the investment from the dining commons’ namesake “will have a lasting impact” on the campus.
