WASHINGTON – The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) last week announced that former President George W. Bush has signed a 10-year lease for an 8,000-square-foot office in the Sherry Lane Place building in Dallas.
Bush will rent the space, which will be ready for occupancy this summer, at an annual rate of $38.95 per square foot, according to the GSA.
Until the office is completed, Bush has signed a short-term lease for 5,328 square feet at The Berkshire at Preston Center building, also in Dallas. That lease, which started last week, has an annual rate of $34.71 per square foot.
The GSA, founded in 1949, manages more than one-fourth of the federal government’s total procurement dollars and influences the management of $500 billion in federal assets, including 8,600 government-owned or leased buildings and 208,000 vehicles.
