Cannabis Control Commission sued over consent agreement reached with Foster dispensary

THE R.I. CANNABIS CONTROL Commission is the subject of a lawsuit filed by Rhode Island Compassion Center alleging a consent agreement that the commission reached with Green Wave Compassion Center violated state law. Green Wave won the lottery to open a dispensary in Foster in 2021 but has yet to open. The center has countersued RICC alleging interference with its efforts to open.
