LITTLE COMPTON – A Cape Cod-style house built in 1965 in the town’s Adamsville area was recently sold for $1.2 million, announced Residential Properties Ltd., which represented the seller in the transaction.

The 1,875-square-foot home at 10 Big Drum Road is located in a forest preserve, according to Residential Properties, overlooking a neighboring pond. The property was once used as part of the University of Rhode Island Master Gardener program, with a vegetable garden, a gas-heated greenhouse and a storage shed. The backyard also features a fire pit.

The two-story home contains four bedrooms and three full bathrooms.

The house also features a covered front porch, with a rear slider door that leads to a rear deck overlooking the grounds, the real estate firm said.

The property comes with a large three-car garage, which features exterior steps that lead to an unfinished upper level that’s used as a workshop space, the real estate firm said.

The home and the 2.7-acre lot it was built on were most recently valued by Little Compton assessors in 2022 as being worth $890,200, according to the town’s property tax evaluation database.

The property was sold by Barbara Rix, in her capacity as trustee of the Barbara Rix Living Trust, to Charles Kinnane III and Karey Kinnane, according to a copy of the trustee’s deed, a public record documenting the property sale.
