Chafee’s recent economic-development trip to Baltimore included a host of state political and business leaders, including Dr. Timothy Babineau, left, president and CEO of Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital. Babineau was chief medical officer of the University of Maryland Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore before coming to Providence.
