PROVIDENCE – Elizabeth Catucci has been named CEO and president of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, the organization announced Tuesday.
The appointment is effective Sept. 30.
Catucci succeeds John C. Gregory, who has served as the Chamber’s CEO and president for 27 years. Gregory is expected to remain on in an advisory role during a transitional period.
“The work the Chamber performs is invaluable for local businesses on various levels, and I am humbled to be given the opportunity to serve the community in this new capacity,” said Catucci in a statement. “Chamber members can be assured that I will continue to advocate on their behalf and will work to help grow their business through networking and marketing opportunities.”
Catucci most recently served as director of marketing and business development at PKF O’Connor Davies LLP.
Gregory, who announced his retirement in February, praised the appointment.
“Having worked with Liz as a board member, I understand and appreciate the passion and commitment she has for the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce,” he said. “It is exciting to know that she will be leading the Chamber and helping take it to the next level.”
Gregory was recently named among PBN’s 25 Over Fifty-five, an award honoring career-long achievement and excellence.
Catucci was named among PBN’s 40 under Forty honorees in 2018.
