PAWTUCKET – Centreville Bank says it will be setting up shop in downtown Pawtucket.
The West Warwick-based bank has announced plans to open a new branch at 175 Main St., a building across the street from Slater Mill historic site and also houses a Blackstone Valley visitor center.

Learn MoreBank CEO and President Harold M. Horvat said the full-service branch is expected to open at the end of 2024 and will be located next to the headquarters of the Rhode Island FC, the minor league soccer team for which Centreville is the exclusive banking partner.

Decades ago, the building housed a Peerless Co. apparel store. The building is now known as the Benjamin Chester Building and is occupied by several entities, including Pet Food Experts LLC and Rhode Island FC.
The branch will be located in the space at Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue that was once occupied by Stillwater Books until it moved to West Warwick in 2023.
Centreville said the branch will be staffed with bilingual representatives to provide customers with a full suite of personal and business banking products and services. The branch will also feature an interactive teller machine with video chat capabilities.
Once this branch is open, Centreville will have 15 locations in Rhode Island and another seven in eastern Connecticut.
The bank has already named Yonatan De La Cruz Mota will manage the Pawtucket branch. Yonatan, an industry veteran has a track record of leading branch teams as a banking and finance professional.
