PROVIDENCE – RBS Citizens Financial Group has appointed Ellen Taylor executive vice president and head of investor relations, the bank announced March 17. Taylor will develop, implement and lead a comprehensive investor relations program for the bank as it prepares for a partial initial public offering later this year, as well as a series of follow-on offerings, which have been previously announced by the bank’s current owner RBS Group.
Taylor has 25 years of experience in banking, capital markets and investor relations. She was a principal at McIver Taylor Group, where she provided investor relations and funding services to financial services clients. She also worked in investor relations at Wachovia Corporation, where she held positions in capital markets, leasing and commercial banking. Taylor’s experience also includes the position of managing director for investor relations at BlackRock, Inc.
“As we pursue our strategy of becoming an independent, stand-alone bank, Ellen’s expertise will be extremely valuable in helping us engage with investors as a publicly-owned company,” said RBS Citizens Financial Group Chief Financial Officer John Fawcett.
Taylor has a bachelor’s degree in economics management from Salem College and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
