PROVIDENCE – Cherrystone Angel Group, a private investment group that funds early-stage business ventures, is taking applications for a “Venture Pitch Night” event scheduled for Nov. 20.
New England-based ventures who can justify a minimum valuation of $1 million are welcome to apply, Cherrystone announced.

The invitation-only event brings together “the best and brightest members of the New England entrepreneurial ecosystem this fall with selected ventures that will get a chance to pitch their business plans to Cherrystone’s network,” the firm said.
“Ventures will get an opportunity to receive feedback on their ideas from leading membership of Cherrystone, along with potential clients and investors,” the firm added.

Based in Providence’s East Side, Cherrystone has invested in ventures from information technology to health care and biotechnology, among other industries.
Cherrystone’s membership is made up of seasoned veterans in various industries “who bring not only investable funds but also expertise to our portfolio teams,” the firm said. “The group works closely with founding teams in the early stages of companies to help them grow and achieve success.”
