Providence Mayor David N. Cicilline will join mayors from across the country this week at the U.S. Conference of Mayor’s 2006 fall leadership meeting in California.
The two-day conference will focus on a number of issues facing American Cities, including crime, homeland security, energy, the environment, poverty and pension reform.
The meetings are to develop the organization’s 2008 policy agenda, and its bi-partisan stratergy for ensuring that the 2008 presidential campaign is relevant to U.S. cities.
