Citizens teams up with BJ’s to offer point-of-sale financing for online purchases

A NEW PARTNERSHIP between BJ’s Wholesale Club and Citizens Bank will let BJ’s members use the bank’s new Citizens Pay point-of-sale lending software to finance major purchases.

PROVIDENCE – BJ’s Wholesale Club members will soon be able to pay for major items such as TVs and appliances with Citizens Bank’s new lending software, according to a news release.

The partnership between Citizens and BJ’s will let BJ’s members use Citizens Pay, a recently branded point-of-sale lending software that offers customers a virtual line of credit with fixed monthly payments, including repeat purchases that don’t require new credit applications.

The partnership will launch this quarter and apply to orders placed on BJ’s website for delivery, and in-store and curbside pickup. Financing for in-store purchases will launch through BJ’s Mobile App in the second quarter, the release stated.
