SHARON, Mass. – Convergint Technologies continues expansion in the Northeast with its new Convergint Technology Center in Sharon, Mass., the security, fire and life safety company announced in a press release. The facility, with 84 employees, will service Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont.
“We have several colleagues working in the Rhode Island area, specifically for municipal and private-industry projects, and we’re looking to continue to grow and expand over the next 12 months,” Jim Maymon, general manager for Convergint’s expanded office, told Providence Business News in an email.
Convergint is a global firm that focuses mainly on medical, higher education, large commercial, financial and banking markets. The CTC will provide security and fire solutions, including system design, integration, installation, training and support services.
“Being product-agnostic is another huge asset for us and permits us to leverage our product partners to always offer the best solution for our customers,” said Maymon.
Recent Convergint projects include work at Bradley International Airport, Windsor Locks, Conn., and at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Berklee College of Music, both in Boston.
