Cox awards scholarships to 10 high school seniors

Cox Communications presented $10,000 in scholarships to 10 Rhode Island high school seniors at a recent State House ceremony. The Cox Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding academic achievement and community service of Rhode Island high school seniors who are interested in a career in communications. Through the program, Cox has presented more than $210,000 to high school students in Rhode Island.
The 2007 recipients are: Haley Brennan, Cranston High School East; Catherine Brown, North Kingstown High School; Ashley Carufel, Barrington High School; Jennifer Chainesi, Cranston High School West; Nicole Desrosiers, Cranston High School West; Caitlin Fairfield, LaSalle Academy; Sarah Groh, Warwick Veterans Memorial High School; Jennifer Anne Juhr, North Smithfield High School; Stephanie Rego, Tiverton High School; and Graham Vyse, Westerly High School.
“Cox is a strong supporter of education, and it gives us great pleasure to honor these exceptional students,” said Paul Cronin, vice president and region manager.
