CVS Caremark CEO Ryan received $26.1M last year

CVS Caremark Corp. CEO Thomas Ryan received $26.1 million in compensation in 2007 as the largest U.S. drugstore chain by number of stores increased 29 percent, its steepest annual advance in four years.
Ryan was paid a salary of $1.35 million and a bonus of $7.81 million, CVS said last month in a regulatory filing. He was also awarded stock and options valued at $12.9 million, though some of the grants were made in prior years and expensed in 2007.
Ryan’s compensation in 2006 was valued at $24 million.
