CVS hires real estate firm to help dispose of leases


CVS Corp., said it has retained DJM Asset Management LLC to help it dispose of leases for 51 CVS pharmacies in 16 states, Bloomberg News reported.


CVS hired DJM, a real estate consulting firm based in Melville, NY, to help it dispose of leases in Alabama, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.


Shares of Woonsocket-based CVS, which operates more than 4,000 CVS pharmacy stores in the U.S., rose 56 cents, or 1.7 percent, to $34.33. They’ve fallen 39 percent in the past 12 months.


The stores range in size from 2,800 to 24,952 square feet and are located in strip malls, central business districts and other areas, DJM said in a press release distributed by PR Newswire.
