Daniel P. Egan is the president of the Rhode Island Independent Higher Education Association, effective last month. He previously was chief of staff in the Office of the Dean of Medicine and Biological Sciences at Brown University and served as vice president for government relations for the Hospital Association of Rhode Island, among other positions. He is a graduate of Providence College and has an M.A. in higher education from Boston College.
