PROVIDENCE – The deadline to apply for the 2019 Get Started Rhode Island pitch competition sponsored by Cox Business is June 15, the Rhode Island Business Competition reminded Thursday.
Participants will compete for a prize valued at $50,000, including $25,000 in cash, mentorship, an article in PBN, and Cox Business Services, among other amenities.

This year’s event will again be moderated by Ken Kraft, senior vice president of marketing and sales operations for Cox Business.
This year’s judges include Shannon Shallcross, co-founder and CEO of BetaXAnalytics; Karl Wadensten, president and CEO of VIBCO Vibrators; Arnell Millhouse, co-founder and CEO of CareerDevs Computer Science University; and Patrice M. Milos, co-founder and president of Medley Genomics Inc. and winner of the 2018 Get Started competition.
The event will take place on Oct. 2 at the WaterFire Arts Center.
