Dept. of Education supports Westbay Adult Ed

WARWICK – Westbay Adult Education Academy announced that it has received a $90,000 grant from the R.I. Department of Education’s office of adult education.

The academy, in conjunction with Comprehensive Community Action (CCAP), will offer free adult education services.

The services are to include:
• Career exploration
• Intake, assessment and goal setting
• GED classes
• Basic education and tutoring
• Job coaching
• Case management
• Mentoring
• Occupational skills development

Classes will be offered at the Buttonwoods Senior Center in Warwick, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, starting Sept. 10.
