While you may not be familiar with Joseph Schumpeter, we all are familiar with the economic forces he recognized and gave a name to. “Creative destruction” is the most famous of Mr. Schumpeter’s concepts, defined in Wikipedia as “the process of industrial mutation … incessantly destroying the old [economic structure], incessantly creating a new one.”
