PROVIDENCE – The R.I. Division of Taxation reminded tax professionals and taxpayers that utilized a six-month extension that Monday, Oct. 16, is the deadline for filing personal income tax returns, the R.I. Department of Revenue announced Wednesday.
The deadline is also for final payments for tax year 2016.
Monday is also the extended deadline for business corporation tax returns, public-service corporation tax returns, taxation of banks returns, taxation of insurance companies returns and single-member LLC returns.
Tax returns for tax year 2016 must be e-filed or postmarked on or before Monday.
