PROVIDENCE – Dr. Hana Ajouz has joined Lifespan Corp.’s Thoracic Surgery Center, the health system recently announced.
Ajouz is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and board-eligible in thoracic surgery. She completed medical training at New York University’s Long Island School of Medicine, where she discovered her passion for thoracic surgery. Then Ajouz went through specialized training in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Miami.

“We are dedicated to assembling a world-class team of thoracic surgeons,” said Dr. Abbas El-Sayed Abbas, system chief of thoracic surgery at Lifespan. “Dr. Ajouz’s addition significantly strengthens our ability to deliver exceptional care to the community of southern New England.”
Ajouz said she’s excited to collaborate with Abbas.

Ajouz is seeing patients at Lifespan’s Thoracic Surgery Center that is co-located at Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals.
