How do you think COVID-19 will change your industry going forward? The focus will be to meet patients where they are, lower barriers to care and therefore increase access to those in need, offer more telemedicine, reduce medical waste and inspire new generations of health care professionals to help us create a more equitable and patient-centered medical system.

What advice would you give your 22-year-old self? Don’t be afraid to start from scratch, to redesign and reimagine what has already been created.

What moment changed your life more than any other? That moment while standing outside my friend’s house waiting to be let in when a man walked toward me wearing a smile so bright, it lit the night – the moment I fell head over heels in love.

What is your favorite Rhode Island food or drink? Zeppoles all day, every day!

What does winning this award mean to you? It is a reminder to me that happiness is not found in material possessions but rather in fostering healthy relationships, engaging in meaningful work and making positive contributions to others’ lives.
