Edible Rhody names 2019 local food winners

PROVIDENCE – Edible Rhody named its 2019 Local Food Heroes Wednesday.

Winners are chosen by readers of the food publication in a vote each fall to “honor the people who bring us our food and drink.”

The 2019 winners are:

  • Farmer/Farm: Martha Neale, Windmist Farm, Jamestown
  • Chef/Restaurant: Jennifer Beckman, The Mooring, Newport
  • Food Artisans: Laura Haverland and Andrew Morley, Sweet & Salty Farm yogurt and cheeses, Little Compton
  • Beverage Artisans: Matt and Kara Richardson, Tilted Barn Brewery, Exeter
  • Food, Wine or Retail Shop: Harvest Kitchen, Pawtucket
  • Food-related Nonporift: Aquidneck Community Table, Aquidneck Island
