NEW BEDFORD – The Entrepreneurship For All South Coast Accelerator Program has announced the 15 early-stage businesses and nonprofits chosen to participate in its 2017 session in New Bedford and Fall River.
Selected through an application and interview process conducted by EforAll and local business professionals, the 15 startups represent the fourth cohort invited to EforAll South Coast’s year-long accelerator program since its 2015 launch.
Each of the entrepreneurs will attend expert-led business workshops, gain insight from a team of mentors, and compete for a chance to win prizes from a $30,000 cash pool. The program is free for all participants.
The 2017 EforAll South Coast Accelerator Program participants are:
- The Alternative Roadmap, a nonprofit life-coaching book and curriculum for millennials, founded by Christian Carmody of Orleans, Mass.
- Bootblack Brand, manufacturer of cocktail and soda syrups for professional and home mixologists, founded by Paul Kubiski of Barrington.
- Casey Gunschel LLC, a custom leatherworking studio, founded by Casey Gunschel of Marion, Mass.
- Chip Rascal, a balloon sculpture and photo-booth service, founded by Chip Pietraszek of Fall River.
- Eworkstyle Institute, a nonprofit communications training institute and multimedia web showcase, founded by Paula Robinson Deare and Paul Deare of New Bedford.
- Forget-Me-Not, an online service used to preserve the memories and life of an individual through a series of prompts and questions, founded by Taylor Joseph and Breanne Cabral of New Bedford.
- Grow Together, an outdoor and indoor edible-garden installation company, founded by Daniel Guillotte of New Bedford.
- Holy Crepe, a creperie to open in New Bedford, founded by Rachel DeMello of New Bedford.
- I Do Wedding, an online booking platform to facilitate the wedding planning process, founded by Stanley Huang of Braintree, Mass.
- OctoVie Skin & Beauty Brush, a unique 3-in-1 beauty tool to assist with cleansing and exfoliating skin, founded by Pamela Auger of Swansea.
- People’s Pressed, a cold pressed-juice business looking to open a shop in downtown New Bedford, founded by Amanda Desrosiers of Dartmouth.
- The Peyton Co., organic beauty, body and wellness products with a focus on sustainability and locally sourced ingredients, founded by Natalie Thompson of Seekonk.
- Project Wheelhouse, a nonprofit that offers yoga, meditation and mindfulness programs to victims of domestic violence and incarcerated women, founded by Jessica Webb of Mattapoisett, Mass.
- Rob Coyne School of Music Education, a place where people can learn how to play all different types of musical instruments, founded by Robert Coyne of Warren.
- Your Feng Shui Guru, a business that organizes homes and offices using Feng Shui methodology, founded by Meghan Pogash of Dartmouth.
