Embrace Home Loans expands, opens new branch in D.C.

WASHINGTON – Embrace Home Loans continues to expand, opening a new branch in Washington, D.C., to meet what it calls continued growth and demand in the nation’s capital.

The Middletown-based mortgage lender says home sales in the metropolitan area have increased 26.7 percent this year compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the average price of homes sold increased by more than 5 percent, according to a press release.

“With this expansion, Embrace will be able to better serve homebuyers in the district and recruit expert loan officers to our team, ultimately helping us further demonstrate our reputation as a trusted and experienced lender throughout D.C.,” said Margie Hennessey, a mortgage professional who will manage the branch.

The new branch announcement comes on the heels of another one made earlier this month about a new branch opening in Warwick.

Embrace, founded in 1983, is a direct lender of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It boasts more than 80 offices in 46 states and the District of Columbia.

“With the recent increase of homebuyers in D.C., there is a need for trusted home-financing solutions and Embrace’s expansion will support this increased demand for homebuying,” said Jeff McGuiness, chief sales officer.
