PROVIDENCE – An informational workshop on the brownfields grant application will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Dec. 12.
The session is presented by the Environmental Protection Agency. Originally scheduled for Dec. 5, the time was moved back a week because of the death of former President George H.W. Bush, and the declaration of Dec. 5 as a national day of mourning.

The session is open to anyone who is interested in applying for the federal brownfields grant funds. Federal brownfields staff will provide points for writing a winning proposal and answer questions about the grant application process.
The workshop will be held at the R.I. Department of Environmental Management office, in room 280 C1 & C2, at 235 Promenade St. in Providence.
