Everybody is familiar with using Microsoft products like Microsoft Word and Excel. Google came out with their own version that’s web-based and they are slowly becoming the mostly common type of Word Processing and Spreadsheet application as far as usage and popularity.
Microsoft Word allows users to write proposals, essays and other type of documents. Google Docs is similar to Microsoft Word and it allows the user to create and share documents from any type of computer or mobile device with a web browser.
Microsoft Excel allows users to take advantage of spreadsheets to collect information, create formulas, view/change graphs, and convert data into useful and meaningful information. Google Sheets is similar to Microsoft Excel but also allows a user to create and share from any web browser on any device.
Microsoft recent years began to taking advantage of web-based applications to compete with Google, and to eliminate the installation to a desktop or laptop with a specific operating system, and limited to one computer.
This Workshop will help demonstrate how to use Google Docs and Google Sheets to create documents and spreadsheets, different types of application uses, and sharing it across multiple users all at the same time. We will also go over restricting and controlling what data or sections others can view or edit.
