Lincoln, RI – August 5, 2013 – With the aim of effectively addressing a rapidly changing behavioral healthcare system, newly appointed Fellowship Health Resources, Inc. (FHR) President & CEO Debra Paul has established the organization’s Strategic Leadership Team. Responsible for guiding the organizational growth of FHR, a behavioral healthcare agency with programs in seven states, the Strategic Leadership Team will help the organization navigate significant changes emerging in the healthcare industry, including President Obama’s Affordable Care Act. 

Paul assumed the role of President & CEO of FHR on July 1, 2013, immediately understanding the importance of aligning FHR’s leadership team. “FHR’s Strategic Leadership Team has been restructured, drawing upon individuals that have a wide spectrum of experience in healthcare services and are committed to the important mission of FHR,” explained Paul. “The appointment of the Strategic Leadership Team is crucial in guiding FHR’s future and continued growth.”

Joining FHR in January of 2012, Paul had formerly served as the agency’s Chief Financial Officer. She holds both an undergraduate degree in accounting and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). 

As part of the restructuring, three key leaders were named to new positions – Pamela Daisey, Chief Operating Officer, Edie Eidson, Vice President of Quality Management and Corporate Compliance Officer, and Stephen Duggan, Finance Director.

As FHR’s COO, Pamela Daisey, LPCMH (Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health) and MS, will be responsible for overseeing all operations and functions of the agency. Daisey has been employed with FHR for 15 years, and brings a wealth of knowledge in clinical and operational policies and procedures.

“I am honored to be appointed the COO of FHR, and look forward to applying the experiences I have gained during an exciting and changing time in the behavioral healthcare field,” Daisey commented. “The clinical and administrative roles I have held at FHR will allow me to lead and make decisions for the agency that will not only be economically sound, but in the best interest of all FHR staff and the individuals we serve.”

Edie Eidson, MS, who previously held the title of Director of Quality Improvement and Corporate Compliance, began working at FHR in 2011 and brings 22 years of healthcare experience to the organization. In Eidson’s new position as Vice President of Quality Management and Corporate Compliance Officer, she will ensure that FHR continues to provide high quality services across all seven states, including the design and implementation of FHR’s quality improvement and continuous process improvement initiatives.

As FHR’s Finance Director, Stephen Duggan, BS, will be responsible for all financial functions of FHR, including working with providers and funding sources to maximize revenue, thereby investing in the future of the organization. A member of FHR’s finance department for 20 years, he most recently held the title of Controller.

Former FHR President/CEO and current Director of Special Projects Joe Dziobek, Chief Information Officer Vaughn Reid, and Human Resources Director Karen Trudeau will join Paul, Daisey, Eidson, and Duggan as the remaining key members of FHR’s Strategic Leadership Team.

Dziobek, MSW (Master of Social Work), who served as FHR’s President/CEO 1984 through June 2013, will remain with the agency until January 2014, overseeing and implementing organizational projects and initiatives. In this position, he will also focus on FHR’s healing arts program, Studio 35.

Reid, BS, holding the title of FHR CIO for six years, has been employed with the agency since 2004. He will continue to oversee all aspects of information technology and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Trudeau, SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources), will remain FHR’s Human Resources Director. With 21 years of human resources experience, Trudeau will continue to provide her expert assistance to all members of the management team in order to make the best possible use of the agency’s greatest asset, its employees.

With 620 employees that serve nearly 3,500 individuals in recovery each year, FHR’s Strategic Leadership Team will maintain a responsive, accessible, and innovative infrastructure, managing a diverse range of projects at the county, state, and national levels.
