WALTHAM, Mass. – Johnston-based property insurer FM Global was named one of five companies with the Best Benefits Practices of 2012 by the New England Employee Benefits Council. The awards recognize employers using innovative solutions to help employees better understand their benefits and live healthier lives.
FM Global was recognized for its Total Rewards website, which puts the company’s entire benefits picture in one easy-to-understand location. The online project saves about $75,000 a year in printing and postage, and is environmentally friendly because it replaces paper statements. Total Rewards online was also cited for enhancing employee recruitment, retention and motivation.
FM Global is one of the world’s largest business property insurers, whose clients include more than one of every three Fortune 1000-size companies in more than 100 countries.
Other winners of the Best Benefits Practices of 2012 awards included Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Putnam Investments, EMC and Aetna.
