Full Channel acquired by broadband management company

WARREN – Full Channel Inc., a provider of broadband TV, internet and phone services in Barrington, Warren and Bristol, has been acquired by CountryWide Broadband, a broadband acquisition and management company based in St. Louis, and Seaport Capital, a New York-based private equity company.

All Full Channel employees are expected to remain in their positions. CWB also expects to add local positions as the company grows.

“We believe the East Bay presents tremendous opportunities to grow Full Channel’s business and services,” said Mike Whitaker, who will become general manager of Full Channel upon its acquisition. “We look forward to providing Full Channel’s customers the same great local service they’ve grown to expect from Full Channel, as well as enhance our service offerings, such as dramatically increasing our internet access speeds in the near future.”

Full Channel has been family owned since its inception in 1965. The company has 20 employees.

Levi and Linda Maaia will be part of the transition team, but the family will not be part of Full Channel after the acquistion goes through. The date of the tranisiton is not finalized said Levi Maaia, as the sale is subject to regulatory approval.
