Giovanucci takes the reins from interim CEO Jay Piccola at the end of August. Piccola will stay on with Giovannucci until September for transition purposes and will return to his position on the company’s board of directors.

“During his role as interim CEO, Jay Piccola has dedicated his time to implement an organizational structure focused on growth and create a platform to capitalize upon G-Form’s unique story, advanced products and smart technology,” said Ron Roberts, chair of G-Form’s board of directors.

Piccola became interim CEO in March 2019, succeeding Michael Metcalfe.

Giovanucci was most recently senior vice president of sales and operations at Fanatics, which is one of the largest sports apparel companies in the world – operating the e-commerce websites of major U.S. sports leagues and many college athletics programs.

“Gava is exactly the type of leader that G-Form needs to position G-Form for continued growth,” said Piccola. “He has consistently delivered on ensuring the culture of the company is nurtured to achieve success.”
