PROVIDENCE – The sale of the James Richardson House, at 225 George St., for $1.3 million marks the first million-dollar home sale on the East Side of Providence this year.

The property was represented by Residential Properties Ltd. on both sides of the transaction. Sales associate Kevin Fox was the listing agent and sales associate Ellen Kasle was the buyer’s representative.

The house was built in 1895 and is designed in the colonial revival style. It features an elegant entryway with Doric columns and a front foyer. The master bedroom includes a fireplace, an ensuite bath and a private dressing room.

The property was sold on Feb. 15 by Lauren F. Greer, trustee for the Lauren F. Greer Living Trust, to Andrew and Emily Johnston, according to city deed records.
