PROVIDENCE – The Granny Squibb Co. has hired Jamie Schapiro as CEO, the company announced Tuesday.

Schapiro has worked with the iced tea company with his business consulting company, Aperture, since early 2019. He had worked with the company for business evaluation and to build a business plan for future growth. The company said that it valued his experience with the company so much that it retained him as CEO.

Granny Squibb Co. said that it will now focus its growth on Rhode Island and New England, including further engaging with its current retailers such as Dave’s Marketplace, Whole Foods, Roch’s and Wegmans, among others.

The company also said that it is looking to increase its presence in restaurants, coffee shops and farmers markets.
