Gripnail Corp. acquired by Texas firm Carlisle Hardcast

EAST PROVIDENCE – Gripnail Corp., which makes fastening solutions for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry, has been acquired by Carlisle Hardcast of Wylie, Texas, part of Carlisle Construction Materials.

Hardcast, which provides duct sealants, insulation adhesives, duct accessories and other solutions for the HVAC industry, made the announcement in a news release.

“The companies represent a combined 107 years of experience and focus on manufacturing excellence in the United States and Canada,” said Gripnail CEO Chris Ryding.

Gripnail has been in business since 1966 and became a 100% employee-owned company in 2004.

“Gripnail joining Hardcast represents many exciting opportunities to expand resources and broaden our collective footprint in the air-distribution space,” said Sal Fasanella, general manager of Hardcast, in the announcement. “This acquisition fits with Hardcast’s plans to provide more-complete solutions and support for the HVAC sheet metal industry.”
